- <p> "It's strange to be called a prodigy when there are gobs of
- 8-year-olds doing the same thing," says fiddler Alison Krauss.
- Since when do 8-year-olds get Grammy Awards? Krauss, 19, was
- proving prodigious last week when she picked up the win for
- Best Bluegrass Recording with her album I've Got That Old
- Feeling. She's come a long way from being just another kid with
- a violin case. The bluegrass field has been tough for ladies,
- especially ones so young, but Krauss has had lots of practice.
- The old pro from Champagne, Ill., recorded her first album at
- 14.
